Automne québécois : nos balades, activités et coups de cœur.

Fall in Québec : our walks, activities, and favorites things

In Québec, Fall is everyone’s favorite season (well… almost everyone !): fiery landscapes, crisp fresh air, and cozy vibes galore. Every year, we joyfully return to our little traditions, favorite walks, and seasonal activities… and we never get tired of them! Want to join us?

Our favorite getaways

Fall in Québec means going out to explore everything nature has to offer! Every year, we head back to our favorite trails.

In Mont-Mégantic Park, around Mont-Tremblant, or at Mont St-Hilaire: the fall landscapes reveal their splendor, hike after hike. The trails that climb uphill reward us with breathtaking viewpoints—and the kids love them too!

One tool worth knowing: Bonjour Québec’s fall colors map! It lets you track the changing leaves across the province and plan the perfect outing when the maples are at their peak.

Fall in the city: Montréal dressed for the season

Even without leaving the city, Fall has a magical touch. In Montréal, we love strolling through neighborhoods like the Plateau, Outremont, or hiking up Mount Royal, where the trees turn every shade imaginable. Cafés bring out their seasonal drinks (yes, we mean the famous pumpkin spice latte), and there’s always a new cozy corner to stop and warm up. And of course, the house decorations are a must: pumpkins, fall wreaths, and, little by little, the first Halloween setups that give the streets a special charm.

Our Fall rituals

We can’t talk about fall without mentioning the tasty traditions: apple and pumpkin picking (with the kids always leaving with their arms - and pockets! - full), the first squash soup that fills the house with warmth, or evenings around the last campfires of the season, with s’mores, of course.

But Fall is also about slowing down indoors: pulling out the throws and wool cardigans, diving into a good book with a cup of tea, tackling a family puzzle, or simply enjoying a soft, comforting atmosphere as the light fades earlier each day.

We also spend more time in the kitchen, simmering delicious seasonal dishes! Our favorites:
