Quand Montréal se porte en foulard : la collaboration entre Liligraffiti et Mili Mila.

When Montréal turns into a scarf : The Liligraffiti × Mili Mila collaboration

The Montreal map, an iconic illustration revisited

Some collaborations don’t come from a long plan; they start with a feeling. A message, an idea, an instant connection. That’s exactly how the collaboration between Mili Mila founder Carolina and Marie-Laure Plano came to life.

Newly settled in Montréal after spending time in Vancouver, Carolina wanted to create a scarf that felt deeply connected to her new home. Not a souvenir. Not a trend piece. But something meaningful : a wearable object rooted in places, stories, and memory. Very quickly, the idea became clear: this scarf had to be created with an artist whose work captures Montréal from the inside.

An Iconic Illustration, Made Wearable

At Liligraffiti, Montreal has always been more than a backdrop. Its streets, neighbourhoods, seasons, and small everyday moments shape the brand’s visual language. Over the years, the Montreal Map illustration has become a signature - a graphic love letter to the city.

For this collaboration, that iconic illustration was reimagined for a new medium. Adapted to a scarf format, the map shifts from wall art to wearable design. Streets, landmarks, and neighbourhoods flow differently, revealing themselves with movement. Each way of tying the scarf offers a new perspective, like carrying a living map with you.

Shared Values, Woven In

This collaboration goes beyond aesthetics. It’s built on shared values.

Mili Mila creates scarves ethically, using durable materials (recycled plastic bottles) and environmentally responsible processes. Each design is developed in Montréal, then carefully handcrafted by artisans in Colombia - Carolina’s country of origin. The result is a piece that bridges places, cultures, and craftsmanship.

This philosophy echoes Liligraffiti’s own approach: creating illustrated objects that feel anchored, intentional, and made to last -pieces that naturally find their place in everyday life.

Wearing Montréal, Your Own Way

The Montreal Map scarf isn’t a tourist map. And it’s not just a fashion accessory. It’s a different way of carrying the city:

  • for those who live in it
  • for those who’ve visited and felt at home
  • for those who dream of it from afar

A scarf that tells the story of Montréal without freezing it in time -celebrating the meeting of illustration, textile, and conscious creation.

The Mili Mila × Liligraffiti “Montréal Map” scarf is now available on our website for $65.
